Here is the 15 dollar beauty I picked up last weekend at a garage sale. As I said, with the twins wanting to be like their elementary school aged neighbors, they've been dying for a homework desk AND homework- they'll eat those words desk someday soon, won't they?
So with some sanding, love and a generous friend (THANKS AMY) who offered up her spacious backyard for us to spray paint and spread out, the desk became just what I had hoped...
and this is what happens when you ask those little helpers to keep an eye on their sister at the coloring table - yes, it's only marker, not paint!
back to work...
love the color?
a chaotic pile of supplies
smooshed amongst all of the other clutter in the girls' room but they love it!

Hi Jen!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Tawny and I happened to peak at your blog from my friend Amber's.
Your kids are adorable, and you ideas are inspiring!
After reading your profile I laughed because I'm a teacher too and I agree that being a mom is such a more demanding job, yet so much more fun :)
Love your new desk! What a great find and vision!

Your desk looks fabulous! I love the blue color you chose. I did this same project with my Abby's desk. It was a white wicker desk and I spray painted it bright green. So fun, and you know our kids will have such wonderful, colorful memories too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous rehab! I hopped on over from Finding Fabulous. I love it. It turned out lovely!
